School Portraits is how I got started in children’s photography. I often volunteer for our kids’ classes. It was in one of these volunteering sessions that I started taking photos of the kids for their ‘end-of-year’ memory books. The parents loved them so much that they started asking for a possible fundraiser for the whole school! Talk about a testimonial!
Unique Black and White Children’s Photography
My unique style of black and white children’s photography allows the personality, the face, of your child to shine through. I talk with the kids to help them feel relaxed about the camera, and that extra few minutes helps their true smile – and even a laugh or two – to shine through.
Ideas on Family Portrait Fundraiser
Some PTAs and Charter or Private schools have found that family portraits are a great fundraiser. I can negotiate with your school or PTA, but often 15% of sales is a great number and fundraiser. When taking photos of the kids, we usually go to the school and take the child’s photo at school, in the presence of his/her teacher. We can come also provide a set block of appointments that the families can ‘show-up’ and have a sitting. I can also offer my services for silent auctions.
